Third Holy Grail War (Apocrypha)

The Third Holy Grail War in the Apocrypha world differs from the one in the"Fate/stay night" world. In this variation of the Fuyuki Holy Grail War, the Einzberns summoned Amakusa Shirou Tokisada rather than Angra Mainyu. This ritual failed due to the Lesser Grail being destroyed.

Plot. Fate/Apocrypha takes place in an alternate timeline from Fate/stay night. In the Third Holy Grail War that happened during the Second World War, Darnic Prestone Yggdmillennia steals the Greater Grail for the Third Reich, but then double crosses them and smuggles it for himself, taking it to Romania.

The world of Fate/Apocrypha is a parallel world to Fate/stay night where the timeline differs during the Third Holy Grail War.

Shirou Tokisada Amakusa, also known as Ruler and Shirou Kotomine, is the main antagonist of the 2012-2014 science fantasy light novel series Fate/Apocrypha, as well as its 2016 manga & 2017 anime television series adaptations of the same name.

Shirou also makes minor appearances in the novel Fate/Apocrypha, in which his hometown was not destroyed by the fire of the Fourth Holy Grail War. He, along with other characters from Type-Moon, appears in the 2011 anime Carnival Phantasm.

Definitely watch Fate/Zero first before anything else. Then watch Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works the TV series. Fate/Zero is the prequel to FSN, so it's recommended watching that way.Mar 25, 2019
